Hemorrhoid Treatment

Most of the hemorrhoid treatment involves steps that you can make on your own like lifestyle modification. But there are times that surgery or medications is needed. But in curing your hemorrhoid you have to base your treatment from symptoms that you experience.

 
If you feel mild pain or discomfort, you can consult your physician and they may suggest you some over the counter creams, ointments or suppositories. These products contain ingredients that will ease the pain and itching, at least temporarily. Remember that you should not use those products exceeding the days that your doctor prescribe you to use it, because these products can cause you side effects like skin irritations and burning.
 
By doing incision, doctor can get rid of the formed cloth in the external hemorrhoid. This procedure can give you instant relief. But in case of persistent hemorrhoid or pain, doctors can give a different ways of curing that hemorrhoid and ease the pain that you are going through. Because there are some procedures that are not complicated and very easy, it can be done in the doctor’s clinic.
 
Another hemorrhoid treatment is the rubber band ligation. This is done by placing rubber bands on the base of the hemorrhoid to stop the circulation of the blood. Then after several days, the hemorrhoid will dry up and falls off. This method of curing hemorrhoid is very effective for those people who are experiencing the pain of having hemorrhoid. Once this procedure is done it can cause bleeding and it is usually occur few days after the procedure but not often harsh.
 
Another way of getting rid of the hemorrhoid is by injection. The doctor will inject a chemical in the hemorrhoid tissue that contains elements that will make your hemorrhoid to reduce in size. You usually feel less pain or at times no pain at all. But this is not effective as rubber band ligation.
 
Coagulation is another technique that uses laser or infrared light or heat. The laser or infrared or heat can make your hemorrhoid to harden and wither. This procedure has a side effects, it has the possibility that hemorrhoid to come back. If these methods are not doing well or you have a large hemorrhoid, then your doctor can recommend for surgical procedures. But when you opt to have surgical, it does not mean that you have to be hospitalized.
 
Hemorrhoidectomy is another hemorrhoid treatment. Surgeon removes the excessive tissue and bleeding may occur. There are various techniques that may be used. This is an effective way of curing your hemorrhoid but there are some side effects that may occur. One of the complications that may result by hemorrhoidectomy is the urinary tract infection. People usually feel the agony after the procedure, but there are some medications that you can use in order to ease the pain.
 
These are just some of the hemorrhoid treatment that you can do in order to get rid of the pain of hemorrhoid. It all up to you which treatment that will suits you best.
